WEEK OF ITALIAN CUISINE IN THE WORLD
From November 16 to 22, 2024, the ninth edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World will take place under the title: “Mediterranean Diet and Roots Cuisine: Health and Tradition.”
This year’s program aims to present Italian cuisine with particular reference to its traditional roots and the recognized role of the Mediterranean Diet in health protection, within the framework of a healthy, balanced, and sustainable lifestyle.
As usual, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Romania will actively participate in this important event, coordinating and promoting a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing and spreading Italian culinary culture.
In close collaboration with the "Sistema Italia", events, tastings, workshops, and meetings with industry experts will be promoted to showcase Italian gastronomic excellence and the importance of the Mediterranean Diet.
Origins and Purpose:
The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is an annual initiative aimed at promoting Italian culinary tradition abroad. This event celebrates the richness and diversity of Italian cuisine, highlighting the quality of its ingredients, preparation techniques, and the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet.
Launched in 2016, the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is part of a broader strategy of “culinary diplomacy” by the Italian Government, aimed at supporting and spreading Italian gastronomic culture. The event emphasizes the role of Italian cuisine not only as a source of pleasure and conviviality but also as a factor of well-being, thanks to its healthy and sustainable principles
