On March 13, during the Italian Entrepreneurs' Gala organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania (CCIpR) and PromoTurismoFVG, the Mayor of Gorizia, Rodolfo Ziberna, met with the Mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the two cities, both holding the title of European Capital of Culture – Timișoara 2023 and Nova Gorica - Gorizia 2025.
The mission, organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Bucharest, was attended by Ambassador H.E. Alfredo Durante Mangoni, the President of CCIPR, Roberto Musneci, Vice President Vincenzo Moderno, the First Commercial Secretary of the Italian Embassy in Bucharest, Federico Mozzi, and the Honorary Consul, Angela Pesavento.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the potential for developing synergies in the tourism and agri-food sectors, aiming to enhance the historical, gastronomic, and multicultural heritage shared by the two cities while strengthening bilateral relations and economic-cultural ties with the capital of the Banat region.
The mission represented an important opportunity to build new avenues for growth and collaboration.
