On the afternoon of March 3, the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania (CCIPR) participated in a meeting with the Interim President of Romania, Ilie Bolojan.
The CCIPR delegation was composed of President Roberto Musneci and Board Member Filippo Scurti. During the meeting, the President highlighted that despite current concerns among investors, Romania continues to offer significant economic opportunities.
He emphasized the need for concrete actions and clear messages from both the political and business sectors to fully leverage the country's potential. Additionally, he reiterated the importance of addressing structural challenges, strengthening the capital market, and defining a predictable timeline for Romania’s accession to the Eurozone—key elements to ensuring stability and sustainable growth.
For his part, President Ilie Bolojan reaffirmed Romania’s commitment to a strong Euro-Atlantic path, emphasizing that this framework provides security for investors and fosters long-term economic development. The discussion also covered the need for strategic investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and high-value-added sectors such as technology hubs, biomethane production, and data centers.
